ABC

A meeting to celebrate the life and work of Jan Atkinson and Ol Braddick, marking the occasion of their relinquishing more tedious duties in order to focus fully on research.

The first part of the celebration will take place in Magdalen College, Oxford on Monday 27th September, 2010. It will be a day of presentations which will include both memories of Jan and Ol, the Visual Development Unit(s), and their time in Cambridge, London, Oxford, and elsewhere, but also new science reflecting the areas they have been interested in. The day will end with a banquet in Magdalen Hall.

The Monday sesions will include posters, and we welcome contributions. If you would like to present a poster, please provide a title on the registration form.

The second day will be a linked session on Vision: a Window on the Developing Human Brain on Tuesday 28th, as part of the 2010 Oxford Autumn School in Cognitive Neuroscience. A number of Jan and Ol's colleagues from around the world, and Jan and Ol themselves, will talk about recent advances in the science of human visual development.

Finally, we have added a 'Jan & Ol' page to this site which will persist after the meeting. We'd be grateful for all contributions (photos, comments, ancedotes, etc.) - please send them to John Wattam-Bell.
